About Alternative Performance Engineering

Alternative Performance Engineering, or APE as we like to call ourselves, is a family-owned company located in San Diego. The company was founded by a former Apple Product Engineer who has a passion for cars and design. We have worked with premier engine tuners to develop the best flex fuel conversion product on the market. We believe that even “car guys” can be more environmentally conscious while not giving up any performance. Running corn based fuel (E85) will give you the benefits of increased performance, lower emissions and cooler engine temperatures, all of which makes this product a must for car enthusiasts.

Alternative Performance Engineering is proud to announce that Dardan Maloku has joined our team!!! Dardan has been a supporter of APE since the beginning and now is going to bring his knowledge and energy to the team to help take us to the next level!!

Dardan has been the go-to tuner in the San Diego area for the last 10 years. He has tuned everything from Hondas to Porsches and even tuned a record breaking Pike’s Peak Hill Climb car. Dardan is active in the southern California drag racing scene and currently drives a 1400-rwhp twin turbo Z06 corvette. Dardan worked as the product development and marketing lead at Synapse engineering and has degrees from SDSU and EFI University.
